SXSW is the daddy of digital conferences so it was a special moment to have my speaking proposal accepted. This was 2013, when sport was still establishing its place in the digital space. It is telling that SXSW have since added a specific sports tract.
In this section, you can hear my talk so I'll let that speak for itself. Suffice to say it outlines my digital philosophy.
It was an honour to be asked to join the Steering Committee (Digital Marketing/Social Media) of SEAT in 2014. In my opinion, Sports & Entertainment Alliance in Technology is one of the most progressive, interesting and friendly conferences in the sports digital circuit.
I am relative newcomer, having attending Miami in 2014 and San Francisco in 2015, but its rapid growth in testament to the quality of speakers it can attract and, therefore, the debate it can stimulate.
Christine Stoffel has managed to harness the constant charge for digital progression and innovation with an old-school sense of community. The venues are creative and the events have a once-in-a-lifetime feel, even for a sports digital veteran like me.
This was a roundtable session with digital leaders from some of the major sports clubs in the world including Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, San Francisco 49ers, Juventus, Major League Baseball, Borussia Dortmund etc….
