Best Digisport Moments from Euro2016 - Official Teams: Group Stages

Best Digisport Moments from Euro2016 - Official Teams: Group Stages

Euro 2016 is in the midst of the knockout phase. Most of the official digital teams are ploughing through the standard fare of press conferences, training, boarding buses and match shots.

Right now it is considered standard but necessary. By the next tournament, you wonder how much written content will be required. Will it be about Snapchat reaction, live video from fans in the stands and whatever small, innovative company Facebook have bought before flipping their product into the mainstream.

Anyway, he’s my very personal highlights from official teams accounts in the group stages.

GERMANY

A slo-mo volleyball fake from Mario Gotze wearing questionable headwear. Who is turning that down? This is cut-to-the-chase content with some slo-mo thrown in. Love it.

PORTUGAL

On bus shots with Portugal as they arrive in Lens for their game with Croatia. This is very simple but a nice shot of the players viewing the fans, not the other way around.

ICELAND

Iceland turned the Eiffel tower blue and red after reaching the last 16 and celebrated with this picture.

IRELAND

On-bus video from the Ireland team after their qualification. Emotional and passionate. Slightly risky for an official site too!

OFFICIAL EURO SITE

Andrea Conte sings the Italian national anthem. Very simple, very personal and at the heart of the tournament.

#Conte sings the #Italy national anthem! #Italia
